We quickly learned when putting Heart to Heart together, that the Center did not revolve around
any one person, but around many people from all walks of life. The Center is the result of families
who come to the center for help, the center is the result of many dedicated professionals who
really do want to make a difference. The Center is the result of the community who have come
forward to lend a hand. The Center is the result of businesses that joined the Heart to Heart
family by placing a vending machine in their location or giving donations. Organizations, clubs,
churches, all taking part and helping, knowing how the pain of a child is a pain felt by all.
We are a family, our home is safe

We come together concerned over issues of child abuse, we become friends and as good friends we think of ourselves as family. We participate in all kinds of fund raisers together, we give our time, we make our efforts to raise money to help the Center keep operating. We have fun in our fund raisers and we are touched when people ask, "How can I help?" The family has grown since we first opened the Heart to Heart doors in 2000. We welcome new ideas and fresh perspectives.
We are musicians, singers, entertainers. We are
firemen, Policemen, teachers, factory workers,
secretaries, accountants, business owners,
judges, sales people, Doctors, nurses, bankers,
blue collar, white collar, no collar. But we have
something very important in common with each
other. We want to help children and families
who suffer from the horrible issues of abuse.
We are the Investigators, the prosecutors, the
mental health workers, the social workers, the
fund raisers, the family advocates. We are the
concerned. We are concerned for the children,
We wish to see each child get a chance in life
without having to deal with issues of abuse, but for those that have been abused, we want to
offer resources and help so they can find the proper path. The greatest paying investment that
we, as a society can make, is the investment in the children of our communities.
Friends with Friends, sisters, brothers, families.
Join us at Heart to Heart and become a part of our family. We need your ideas, we need your
participation, we need your help in helping us help children. You can help in many ways. Buy a piece of cheesecake at the Taste of Newton, (they are so good, you might want to buy a whole cheesecake). Put a team together for the miniature golf tournament, it's more fun then you can imagine. Purchase one of our pins or T shirts. Buy a ticket for one of our (soon to be announced) concerts. Put a quarter or two in one of our many vending machines. Go to one of our fund raising dances. Volunteer to help us out in our fund raising mission. Come to the Center and say "hello", we would love to show you what Heart to Heart is all about.Heart to Heart Vending
Heart To Heart Advocacy Center developed a vending Machine fund raiser in 2001. The fund raiser began with six candy machines. Those same six machines are still in the locations they had been originally set up at. Today, Heart to Heart has vending machines that vend toy capsules, stickers and tattoos, gumballs, and candy. Machines are located within Harvey and McPherson County. The machine pictured below is located at the Mitchell 8 theaters, Chisholm retail and mall.

If you have some space at your place of business, you might like to become a part of this exciting program. The machines are maintained, cleaned and filled by Heart to Heart Vending. You will receive a quarterly newsletter from Heart to Heart with your business listed as a sponsor of Heart to Heart. The quarterly newsletter will keep you updated on what is happening at Heart to Heart Child Advocacy Center. Children love these machines (and we are very much aware of adults dropping a quarter or two into them).
If you would like a candy machine, we can get you one. If there is special candy you want in the machine, we will try to make that happen too. Please give us a call either at the Center, 316-284-6029 or call Karen at 316-772-2140. We will feature you business and the machine you choose on our web page. You will be come a member of the team of Heart to Heart.

These machines have helped Heart to Heart maintain daily operations. You may see them in restaurants, Newell's truck stop, Motels, convenience stores, and the mall. Drop a few quarters in them, your change can make a big change. Remember the time when you were a child and the thrill you would get by putting your coin into a vending machine, turning the crank and finding a treasurer fall down the chute. Vending machines haven't changed much since then. We love seeing children putting quarters into the machine knowing their quarter is going to help other children. We don't mind seeing adults put their quarters in the machines either.
Ali, manager of Mokas, stands by a Heart to heart vending rack. Kids love to get stickers, gum balls, and surprise capsule toys while their parents are drinking coffee. In fact, we have seen some parents placing quarter into the machines and getting "care bears" and other goodies. Stop by Mokas, have some great coffee, meet Ali, and enjoy the pleasant company that gathers at the coffee shop.
