Children are our most important resource
McPherson Office

Heart to Heart McPherson County
Child Advocacy Center

Police Officers, Professionals, and community volunteers have come together to prepare the Center for its mission of working with children who report abuse.  Captain Mike Terry of the McPherson Police Department never gave up on the dream of opening a Center in McPherson County.  That dream is now reality. The Center was established in 2008.

The McPherson Center is currently located at 400 E. Kansas Ave., Suite 1, in McPherson (620-245-0048).  If no answer, please contact the main office at 316-804-4603.

McPherson Detectives Mark Brinck and Stacy Snyder, and Captain Arlo Blevins took time
out of their busy weekend earlier this year
to remodel the Heart to Heart office.

Their donated time and labor helped to improve the privacy and safety of children and families coming to Heart to Heart to talk about abuse concerns.

Great job, guys!
We're so grateful!!!

Stop By to Meet New Child Advocate Lisa Donahue

If you're out and about in the neighborhood, stop by Heart to Heart (400 E. Kansas, Ste 1) to meet our new Child Advocate, Lisa Donahue.  Lisa joins our team with more than five years of work experience in protective services and family advocacy.  She is uniquely skilled to support children of abuse, as well as their non-offending family members.

Stop in whenever her door is open.  If you don't find her in the office, she's likely engaging with agency partners in the community.  Leave her a note, and she'll follow up.  Lisa looks forward to getting to know others throughout McPherson County.

Coffee Anyone?

McPherson Chamber Coffee to be Hosted March 17 by Heart to Heart

Be sure to stop by Heart to Heart Child Advocacy Centers on Thurs.,
March 17.  The McPherson center will be the site for the Chamber Morning Coffee.

You'll have an opportunity to tour our facility and see our new Promethean ActivePanel
-- thanks to a grant through the McPherson County Community Foundation.  (Thank
  you, Sharon Long!)

You'll also see chairs donated by McPherson Mayor Tom Brown for the family waiting
area. The chairs replace old dilapidated hospital chairs that no longer sat upright safely
for children and families visiting our center.  (Thanks, Mayor Brown.)

  We look forward to visitors!
